An enchanting Lakeland stone lodge of immense character built in 1879 and nestling beside Longtail Wood a short distance from the lake. Previously owned by Beatrix Potter and our former family home, furnished and carpeted to a quality that will be appreciated by our discerning guests. Enter a small porch with space for outdoor clothing. Beyond beckons a truly unique beamed open plan living room with separate dining and kitchen areas created from the original cosy lodge, which overlooks the garden and wood. Upstairs you will find the master bedroom with woodland views and its own bathroom. Downstairs overlooking the garden are two further bedrooms with the second bathroom. A shared wild flower garden awaits you with gurgling stream and visiting deer and squirrels.

North Lodge is only a few minutes from the Lake where you can take a trip on the car ferry across to Beatrix Potter country or wander beside the lake to Bowness Bay and take one of the many cruises.
The village centre is less than one mile away, with its fine selection of individual shops, theatre and cinema. Bowness boasts the largest selection of restaurants and cafes in the National Park. All you could possibly want for the perfect holiday is on your doorstep.
